The Depot is home to many Park District recreation programs including Early Childhood programs.
The Depot was acquired from the Chicago and Northwester Railroad in 1971. It was renovated by the Park District as a bicentennial project in 1975. The construction of the Bicentennial Fountain on the same site as Wild Meadows Trace was the community’s bicentennial project. The Depot and the fountain were dedicated on July 4, 1976.
